About Hannah

What is your current role and tell us about your career to date with Picturehouse?
I started working for Picturehouse back in August 2019 when I was 16, as a Customer Service Assistant. I was the youngest employee who worked there at the time and I only worked on a Saturday as I was at college during the week. After lockdown, I decided to take a gap year and continue working at Picturehouse full time. When the cinema reopened in May 2021, the position of Supervisor was vacant. I thought this was a good chance to enhance my career within Picturehouse, so I applied for the role. This was my first interview for a more senior role, but I was pleased to be offered the job. After securing the job, I was placed on the BeMore Supervisor programme, where I was able to develop my managerial skills. I also worked closely with the Henley management team, who were able to give me advice and guidance along the way. 


What do you enjoy the most about for working for Picturehouse?
There are many aspects of Picturehouse and my role that I enjoy. I particularly like working with a close-knit friendly team who support me in my role and are able to share their knowledge with me. The role is very diverse and the day to day duties can vary. This keeps the job interesting as no day is the same. I have enjoyed getting to know a wide range of people and I feel it has really contributed to development.
