Picturehouse Central is a 1000 seat, 7 screen cinema on Shaftesbury Avenue near Piccadilly Circus. 

 

In addition to a diverse programme of films, ranging from quality blockbusters to independent,  classic, foreign-language and art-house, Picturehouse Central include a core programming strand  dedicated to championing documentaries. The cinema also show live HD broadcasts of productions  from world-class arts venues, such as the New York Metropolitan Opera and the Bolshoi Ballet,  theatre productions such as the Royal Shakespeare Company Live from Stratford-upon-Avon and  National Theatre Live, art exhibitions and filmmaker Q&As.  

 

As our flagship West End cinema, the very highest standards of presentation need to be maintained  at all times.

Job Description: London Film Festival London Events Supervisor (short term contract) 

 

Job Purpose 

To supervise the running of events during London Film Festival press and Industry days, and  additional evening screenings, including Screen intros, Q&As and receptions. This is a short term  contract running Monday 3rd - Sunday 16th October. 

 

Main Duties 

- Managing receptions, ensuring catering is served to a high standard  

- ensuring spaces are clean, tidy and meet health and safety requirements

- oversee catering delivery team ensuring they are briefed on timings, cleaning schedules and  and break times 

- Be first point of contact for staff and clients during event delivery 

- Manage stock levels in preparation for receptions 

- Manage VIP tabs across multiple retail points 

- In screen communication with projection team queuing intros and Q&As - Managing tech setup and onstage operations during industry panels, intros and Q&As - Managing VIP areas maintaining and managing stock levels, ensuring cleanliness and VIPs are  catered for.  

- Managing stage turnover cleaning, tech requirements and health and safety requirements.
