What is the job?
The Ritzy is a 5 screen cinema in the heart of Brixton, the building is grade 2 listed and one of only a few purpose built cinema's still in existence in the country. Being in the heart of Brixton means putting the community first in all we do from Independent films to a full diverse events program at our iconic bar 'upstairs at the Ritzy'.
It’s time to step into the limelight as the new Picturehouse Host at The Ritzy cinema, taking our customers on a journey that immerses them in every aspect that our unique venue has to offer.
From serving in our busy bars or welcoming customers into one of our 5 screens, you will be involved in ensuring the best possible end-to-end customer experience from the moment they step through the doors.

What will you be doing?
- You will be responsible for ensuring the best possible customer journey for anyone that steps through our doors. Whether they are in the cinema to dine, drink, attend an event or indulge in a cinematic masterpiece you will help them fully immerse themselves in the experience and forget the outside world.
- You will contribute towards the running of the cinema, which will see you keep on top of Health & Safety, general cleaning duties, operate the concession stands, prepare & serve café food, ushering responsibilities and lots more.
- You will always be up to speed on film scheduling at the cinema, being able to relay knowledge of schedules, film synopsis and classification to our customers when needed.
- You will be aware of all internal sales promotions and work with your colleagues to drive sales to hit targets.

- You must be friendly and outgoing with the attitude of always putting the customer first to deliver an unforgettable experience.
- You will be someone who enjoys a varied work life as no two days will be the same with you being required to work across lots of different areas of the cinema such as, Cafe, Bar, Screens and events.
