The Cinema is a complexity 3 site and is situated in Belfast City Centre, it is located within the Odyssey complex which also includes the SSE Arena, Hollywood Bowl and W5. Further developments of the center are planned for 2022 to include several new restaurants. The cinema is within walking distance of the city center near the main shopping and entertainment areas.
The Cinema has 13 auditoria, with a Laser IMAX, 4DX screen, ScreenX and a large Dolby Atmos Auditoria . It also operates a concessions stand, Baskin Robbins and a Café Bar which serves Lavazza. The management team consists of a General Manager, Deputy General Manager, 2 Cinema Managers & 5 Team Leaders along with Cafe Bar Supervisors and Baristas.
The Role of the Lavazza Barista is to contribute to Lavazza's success by providing legendary customer service to all customers by providing them with, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. The Barista is responsible for acting in accordance with, and as an ambassador for Cineworld/Lavazza's guiding principles, culture and values; embracing the coffee culture and keeping it at the heart of everything we do. You will also be expected to perform cinema front of house duties. You will also be working in the Cinebar which will require a wide range of duties from preparing and serving drinks to engaging with customers. Some of them might specialise in mixology and creating unique cocktails.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
- Acting in accordance with, and as an ambassador for Lavazza guiding principles, culture and values
- Embracing the coffee culture and keeping it at the heart of everything we do
- Discovering and responding to customers’ needs, providing product sampling and demonstrations to deliver the Lavazza Experience to customers.
- Follow Lavazza operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling, security and health and safety to ensure the safety customers.
- Preparing and serving high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Using a till to take orders and process payments
- Checking customer’s identification and age verification
