West Norwood Library & Picturehouse, a lovingly restored library, 4 screen cinema and cafe-bar is looking for a part time Cinema Manager.
Our Cinema Managers are at the heart of our cinemas’ day-to-day operation, helping to bring great movie moments to life for every customer, every visit. Working closely with the General Manager, you’ll lead teams on shift, maintain high operational standards and support the smooth running of the cinema throughout the trading day.
This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where your presence on the floor really matters. You’ll guide and motivate your teams, create a positive and inclusive environment, and play a key part in delivering an experience that keeps our customers coming back.

Job purpose
To deliver the key business objectives and operational excellence through effective management of people and cinema operations. Responsible for managing, coaching, and motivating the team to consistently deliver an exceptional customer experience to the standard required by Picturehouse. Provide an engaging work environment, championing succession and development opportunities for all. Focused on delivering excellence in all areas of the business and supporting colleagues, whilst ensuring maximum contribution to the delivery of the cinema’s KPIs.

What will you be doing?
* You will support the General Manager in all operational running aspects of the cinema from delivery of all business KPIs to ad-hoc project work and assuming the role of duty manager when needed.
* You will motivate and impassion the cinema customer service teams to deliver against sales & performance targets, ensuring the venue is kept to Picturehouses high standards and of course deliver only the best end-to-end customer experience
* You will help create a fun & inclusive work environment where your colleagues are able thrive and grow within their roles.
* You will help improve the cinema's commercial operations through controllable P/L, petty cash expenditure, minimizing risk of losses through stock loss, and maximise on-site revenue opportunities.
About you
* You have experience supervising small teams within customer-facing industries that align closely to the cinema, such as hospitality and retail. This will include setting expectations, driving new sales initiatives and helping them strive for performance excellence.
Along with your main duties, you will also be expected to carry out any other duties that are reasonably asked of you.
