In addition to a diverse programme of films, ranging from quality blockbusters to independent, classic, foreign-language and art-house, Picturehouse Central includes a core programming strand dedicated to championing documentaries. The cinema also shows live HD broadcasts of productions from world-class arts venues, such as the New York Metropolitan Opera and the Bolshoi Ballet, theatre productions such as the Royal Shakespeare Company Live from Stratford-upon-Avon and National Theatre Live, art exhibitions and filmmaker Q&As.
As our flagship West End cinema, the very highest standards of customer service and presentation will need to be maintained at all times.
Premiers and filmmaker events will be an important part of the job and the successful candidate will have experience of managing the complexities of planning and hosting such events, including dealing with press and public speaking.
Both café-bars and the Members Bar are an integral part of the experience here and a passion for and/or experience of an F&B offering is essential.
Picturehouse Central is part of Picturehouse Cinemas who operate 26 cinemas across the UK and are a stand-alone division of Cineworld PLC.
Events Operations Manager (PHC) - Job Description
Job Purpose
Picturehouse Central is looking for an Events Operations Manager to join their busy events team. Reporting into the General Manager, they will be responsible for ensuring the consistent, effective and professional event delivery, and ensuring consistently high profit margins.
Main Duties
Your duties include:
1. Pre-event communication and planning with the Event Managers. Planning and communication with delegates/customers and suppliers as necessary
2. Plan and submit staffing schedules weekly to ensure all events run smoothly
3. Deliver events, within budget which meet and exceed customer expectations
4. Direct and manage the activities of all relevant staff, contractors and suppliers as required to successfully execute all aspects of the event on the day of delivery
5. Manage and lead staff during the event, ensuring all staff are fully aware of the itinerary, menus, beverages and customer expectations for the event
6. Full event set up and breakdown, both in reception spaces as well as in screen from event prep until close
7. Trouble-shoot any event or service difficulties prior to the event ensuring everything runs smoothly on the day
8. Responsible for the ordering, monitoring and recording of stock for both F&B and event equipment
9. Working in collaboration with the Event Managers ensuring the smooth running of events and their hand over
10. Direct and manage all activity related to the event, ensuring the highest service level throughout
11. Communicating effectively with all departments and Head Office to ensure the site and the company is prepared for each event.
12. Processing all transaction post event; raising invoices where necessary post event and closing all event files, ensuring all logs and finances are up to date
13. Effectively deal with any issues raised by our customers and clients on site
14. Working alongside the Event Supervisors to execute each event to the highest quality
15. Accountable for H&S, legal regulations and policies
16. Attend all meetings as required
