We're looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our busy Kitchen Team.

 

The Cinema City Kitchen Team deliver high standards across the board and as well as serving our Daily Brunch, Main, Pizza and Kids Menu we also cater for a number of events.

 

We've hosted Weddings, Receptions, Christenings, Birthday Parties and everything in between so flexibility is key when joining as a Kitchen Team Member.

 

Previous experience in Kitchens would be preferable and there will be an expectation to get involved in all aspects of the Kitchen Operation from KP duties (washing up/cleaning/maintaining high H&S standards) to preparing, cooking and delivering food to specs provided in a timely and professional manner.

JOB PURPOSE

Entry level.  To cook and present food to an excellent standard. To Keep the kitchen clean and tidy contributing to a 5* food hygiene rating

 

MAIN DUTIES

General Kitchen Duties

*         Delivering our menus to company specification, served in a timely manner from the kitchens.

*         Prepare dishes to company specification sheets. Preparing and cooking food to consistently high standards of presentation, following company plating guidelines.

*         Receive deliveries as per company procedure, ensuring discrepancies are actioned and HACCP procedures are followed

*         Undertaking such administration to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen

*         Ensure all communication via radios is appropriate, clear, and concise

 

Health & Safety – You will:

*         Follow all Health & Safety Policies with a Spot it, Sort it approach

*         Work efficiently using all pieces of equipment (you have been trained on) correctly and with care

*         Inform management immediately of any breaches or issues within Health & Safety

*         Help monitor maintenance or repairs advising the relevant people of any issues immediately

*         Open and close kitchen areas, ensuring the relevant supporting paperwork is completed

*         Undertake basic daily cleaning duties including but not limited to crockery, pots, pans etc. and removing of rubbish as required

*         You will be expected to attend regular staff meetings and shift briefings and keep up to date on staff communications

*         Adhere to all policies and procedures

*         Ensuring Food Hygiene, Kitchen Cleanliness and other health and safety responsibilities are followed at all times maintaining a 5* rating

 

Product Knowledge and sales

*         Ensure all wastage is correctly recorded by following the wastage procedure

*         Maintaining the highest standards of food hygiene and food presentation in line with policy

Along with your main duties, you will also be expected to carry out any other duties that are reasonably asked of you.
