Outdoor Cinema Manager

Picturehouse Outdoors is going on the road again in 2023, bringing the Picturehouse Experience to a variety of outdoor venues across England, showcasing a wide variety of exciting films and delivering the best experience possible to our guests.
The season will launch in June 2023 and we are looking for a hard working, energetic and organised person to manage the preparation for, and the delivery of, the 2023 season of Outdoor screenings. The ideal candidate would have administrative experience, and the ability to fulfil the functional side of the role to a very high standard alongside the drive and resilience to support the operational activities. Candidates must ensure the availability to work flexibly due to the nature of the role.
The Outdoor Cinema Manager will report directly to the Picturehouse Operations team, and will manage a small team of Outdoor Cinema Coordinators in delivering the offer. Having previous management experience is essential.
Picturehouse Outdoors is part of Picturehouse Cinemas who operate 26 cinemas across the UK and are a stand-alone division of Cineworld PLC

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Outdoor Cinema Manager who can bring the Picturehouse way of working to this exciting season.
Please note there is a requirement to work full time hours, which includes working at all of the Outdoor Screenings, which will take place on weekends.
A full driving license is required for this role.
A personal alcohol license is desirable
Location
This is a remote role and the location of the screenings will vary throughout England. The Outdoor Cinema Manager will be based at one of our Cinema locations when not on the road, dependant on the successful applicant’s location.

Job Purpose
The key responsibility of the role is to ensure the smooth running of the Outdoor Cinema season, with a focus on delivering on all Health and Safety Responsibilities and delivering the best possible experience for our guests, delivered partly through the Management of a team of Outdoor Cinema Coordinators.
Main Duties
Before the event
* Researching the venues and assessing Capacity, Layout & Size, Seating Requirements, Lighting / Emergency Lighting, Heating/Ventilation, Fire Safety, Access/Egress for audience, Power provision, toilets, loading route and parking.
* Create a FRA and any specific RA’s the site has required, with assistance from the Picturehouse Operations Team.
* Complete local TEN applications where applicable and including the following where required; Event Management Plan, Event Notification Form, Noise Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan, Temporary Structures FRA.
* Supply any of the above to the host venue as required, sign off on hire agreements etc
* Manage invoices
* Book venues where applicable
* Recruit and manage a team of Outdoor Cinema Coordinators
Ongoing (In conjunction with the Outdoor Cinema Coordinator team)
* Liase with Programming Dept with regard to film bookngs
* Liase with Marketing Dept to ensure full promotion of events
* Liase with Sponsorship Dept to ensure that all sponsorship requirements are managed and delivered correctly
* Deal with customer queries / issues that are received directly
* Liase with Picturehouse venue management teams to ensure that all aspects of the event are organised correctly.
* Set up and monitor ticket sales
* Book travel and accommodation as required, with assistance from the Operations Team
* Have responsibility for the van hire for the season

* Setting up of the screen
* Projection equipment operation
* Ancillary equipment operation
* Loading / Unloading Van
* Logistics Planning
* Site Management (Setup / Takedown)

* Health and Safety responsibility delivery
After Event
* Complete and submit payroll
* Complete P&L sheets for review by the Operations Team
* Take responsibility for takings and banking summaries
