What is your current role and tell us about your career to date with Cineworld?

I am currently Deputy General Manager in Edinburgh, having had previous stints in Falkirk and Glasgow. I started with Cineworld in Cardiff back on 2006 as a Team Member whilst studying and progressed through Supervisor to Manager. As a Cinema Manager I worked at Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow Science Centre & Glasgow Renfrew Street, Europe's tallest cinema and at one time the UK's busiest.

What do you enjoy the most about for working for Cineworld?

​

No two days are the same, having worked in so many cinemas with different customer bases and different business levels the role varies so much. One day I can be meeting and greeting our customers and the next analysing the cinemas performance with Senior Management. There are so many opportunities to grow and develop within Cineworld and people have always been at the heart of everything we do.

Why would you encourage people to choose a career with Cineworld?

​

Cineworld can be a great job for people studying at University but also for someone looking to develop a career. If you are a good people person, have an eye for detail and get behind the company motto of being 'The Best Place to Watch a Movie' then there are so many opportunities.
