What is your current role and tell us about your career to date with Cineworld?
My current role is General Manager at Cineworld Edinburgh, home to Scotland's only Screen X screen and also 4DX, Starbucks and IMAX. As General Manager, I provide effective and ongoing leadership of my management team and Starbucks team ensuring that Cineworld Edinburgh is the best place to watch a movie for our customers and best place to work for our team. I started my career at Cineworld Parkhead as a Team Member whilst at University and moved over to Glasgow Science Centre as a Supervisor when the business acquired Scotland's largest IMAX screen. From there I moved to Falkirk as an Operations Manager and then onto Edinburgh and Silverburn as a complexity 1 Cinema Manager. Recently, I was promoted to General Manager following spells as Deputy General Manager at Aberdeen Queens Links and Edinburgh. During my career at Cineworld I have been lucky to have support from a great L&D and HR team developing my skills and behaviors into an effective leader through the company's assessment center's and Leadership BeMore academy which a select few managers are invited onto each year.
