Kitchen Team Member/Kitchen Porter

Previous kitchen experience is preferred. You must be available to work evenings and weekends, with Friday and Saturday availability prioritised.
About You
We’re looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable individuals to join our busy kitchen team.
The kitchen team at Picturehouse Central deliver high standards across the board. Alongside serving our Brunch, Main, Pizzas, we also cater for a wide range of events.
From private screenings and parties to receptions and special events, flexibility and teamwork are essential when joining our kitchen team.
As a Kitchen Porter, you’ll play a key role in keeping the kitchen running smoothly by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and health & safety, while supporting chefs during service.
What You Will Be Doing
General Kitchen Duties
Washing dishes, crockery, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
Maintaining cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas.
Assisting with basic kitchen preparation tasks when required.
Removing rubbish and recycling in line with company procedures.
Supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods.
Assisting with receiving and storing deliveries following company procedures.
Health & Safety
You will:
Follow all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene policies using a Spot it, Sort it approach.
Ensure the kitchen is kept clean, safe, and organised at all times.
Use equipment safely and correctly following training.
Assist with daily and closing cleaning duties across the kitchen.
Help maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, contributing to our *5 food hygiene rating**.
Teamwork & Communication
You will:
Support chefs and other kitchen team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Attend shift briefings and stay up to date with team communications.
Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
