Cineworld Chichester
Opened in 2003, Cineworld Chichester is a ten-screen multiplex with auditoria ranging from 99 to 257 seats, including an IMAX screen. It is situated on the southern edge of Chichester, within the Chichester Gate leisure complex, and counts Tenpin, Five Guys, Nando's, McDonalds and KFC among its co-tenants. The cinema team comprises a General Manager, two Cinema Managers, four Team Leaders and 35 Team Members.
Maintenance Person
Answering to the General Manager and cinema leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting cinema management in maintaining and enhancing the overall presentation of the cinema, by undertaking routine maintenance tasks and liaising with external parties in conjunction with the management team as appropriate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Conducting site walk-rounds to identify faults and hazards and reporting to the management team.
- Liaising with and reporting jobs to management team.
- Carrying out any routine maintenance tasks recorded on the Maintenance /defect log contained in the Health and Safety registers.
- Relamping around the Cinema as directed, along with (if possible) periodic conversion of older light fittings to LED equivalents.
- Routine repairs to stair nosing and Tivoli lighting.
- Regularly checking the state of fixed seating in auditoria and undertaking reporting or repairing as necessary.
- Maintaining presentation of toilets, including routine plumbing works, fixing broken toilet seats, replacing fixtures and fittings - including duct panelling - as required.
- Local making good and redecorating as directed by management.
- Making areas where work is being carried out safe for customers and employees in accordance with the Health & Safety policy.
- Carrying out graffiti checks within the demise of the cinema's responsibility, removing any low level graffiti as directed.
- Reporting maintenance tasks and emergency situations such as gas leaks, power failures, water leaks etc. to the management team.
- Ensuring the main refuse area is clear.
- Working with the management team and attending Health & Safety meetings to ensure the site is Health and Safety compliant and all checks carried out are documented.
- Keeping work areas tidy & organized, tools & maintenance resources logged and locked away and maintained in accordance with Health & Safety policy.
- Ad hoc duties as directed by management team, within the scope of maintenance tasks within the demise of the cinema's responsibility.
Technical Experience
Candidates must have basic experience of hand and power tool use, and would ideally be qualified in Health and Safety Level 2. An understanding of Health and Safety policy, risk management and working at heights is desirable. Facilities management or trades person experience is desirable.
