What is the job?
Do you want to spread the magic of cinema, from the big blockbusters to small indie films, to people across the UK with captivating marketing campaigns?
As our new Marketing Manager at Picturehouse, you will work closely with our Head of Marketing Sam Clements to deliver campaigns that not only showcase the unique Picturehouse offering to new & existing audiences but also drive footfall in venues and and increases revenue across all events and content shown in our venues.
You will collaborate with the wider Picturehouse team, supporting departments such as Programming, Commercial & Operations, whilst building valuable relationships with film distribution businesses to ensure we deliver trade marketing campaigns that draw people into visiting Picturehouse cinemas to get their fill of the big screen.
What will you be doing?
- You will assist in the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, including annual initiatives, seasonal promotions, film & event releases, and day-to-day activity, under the direction of the Head of Marketing, whilst leading on the planning and delivery of the quarterly Picturehouse Recommends magazine, overseeing sales, tracking, assets, and invoicing. This includes representing Picturehouse at events and industry functions when required.
- You will oversee all trade marketing activity across in-venue and digital channels, ensuring bookings are fulfilled and distributor reports are completed, whilst building and maintaining strong working relationships with film distributors and studios.
- You will oversee monthly cross-departmental meetings to plan marketing campaigns at least three months in advance and maintain the annual marketing calendar.
- You will assist the Head of Marketing in tracking the annual marketing budget and ensuring spending is aligned with strategic priorities; monthly you will pull this information together to create presentations & notes for the all-company update meeting.
- You will liaise with internal departments including Commercial, Programming, Content and Operations to align marketing activity with business goals. This includes collaborating with the in-house design team via Basecamp for a variety of campaigns, including briefing, tracking, and approvals to ensure timely delivery.
- You will need to provide clear, data-informed reporting on all major projects and campaigns to analyse performance and help plan for future projects.
About you
- You have strong demonstrable experience delivering creative B2C & D2C marketing campaigns across a multitude of channels (socials, digital, crm, print, OOH, etc), whilst using data insights to drive decision making.
- You are someone that enjoys collaborating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders concurrently and can manage communicating effectively to everyone to ensure delivery of campaigns against deadlines.
- You have a genuine interest or experience in marketing a cinema, arts, or cultural venue would be a huge bonus!
- You are confident presenting to small & large groups and being people facing at events to represent Picturehouse.
