What is the job?
We’re looking for a Part-Qualified Accounts Assistant to join our Picturehouse Finance team and support the financial operations across both our cinema business and film distribution activities. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) and looking to deepen their experience in month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis within a creative and fast-paced entertainment environment.
You’ll work closely with the Finance Manager and wider finance team, contributing to strong financial controls while also gaining exposure to a major ERP system implementation - a brilliant chance to be involved in a finance transformation project early in your career.
Salary: £32,000-£34,000 depending on skills & experience
Location: This role will be based in both of our cinema support offices in Brentford and Leicester Square. You will also have the option for hybrid working 1 day per week.
What will you be doing?
You will support the month-end close by preparing journals, accruals and prepayments, and assisting with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
You will help prepare monthly management reports, maintain key schedules and ensure the accuracy and integrity of control accounts.
You will support cinema and film distribution revenue activity, including reconciliations, revenue tracking and cost allocations.
You will assist with VAT reconciliations, fixed asset schedules, audit preparation and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
You will provide general finance support, including ad-hoc analysis, while contributing to the implementation of a new ERP system through data preparation, testing and process documentation.
About you
You will be a part qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or actively studying towards qualification.
You will have some previous experience in an accounts or finance role with a solid understanding of month-end accounting processes.
You have excellent Excel skills with a high level of accuracy, attention to detail.
You are organised, proactive and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
