Salary: £37,000 (+£625 location allowance)
Hours: 40-hours (5 days in 7 per week)

Ok…we aren’t hiring for a masked crusader’s right-hand man but, it’s not far off! We are looking for a new Deputy General Manager to support our General Manager of the Ipswich Cinema in all areas of operational running and management.
From supporting our teams to deliver an immersive & joyful experience for all customers, to ensuring the cinema maintains the highest standards of health and safety; you will be involved in all of it.

What will you be doing?
* You will be supporting the General Manager in all aspects of the operational running of the cinema from recruitment to ad-hoc project work and assuming the role of duty manager when needed.
* You will have ‘people’ focused responsibilities which range from management of existing teams, employee relations issues, recruitment of new team members, training and holding regular meetings.
* You will have the customer at the heart of everything you do, ensuring the cinema is a clean and vibrant place where they can fully immerse themselves in the joyful experience of cinema.
* You will keep on top of operational duties by ensuring health & safety standards are exceeded, the Rota is optimised in line with film programming, sales targets are achieved and reporting on P&L lines.
About you
* You have demonstratable experience of managing people and operations within customer facing industries that align closely to the cinema, such as hospitality and retail.
* You are comfortable managing team members performances, setting expectations and helping them strive for performance excellence.
* You can help the cinema achieve financial targets by championing new sales initiatives.
* You must be happy working at key business times, which includes some evenings and weekends dependant on film programming, premieres and new releases.
